Mukambi goes Green

For 2012 our ambitions in this area will be even more far reaching. Ultimately, we want to operate our lodges on solar energy alone, and hope to be one of the first operators offering ‘silent safaris’ using a completely electrical Defender as is currently being developed and tested back in the Netherlands.  We expect our very own ‘e-Landy’ to arrive in Zambia by June and look forward to sharing the unique experience of Silent Safaris with you this year.

We are constantly looking for ways to improve the ECO sustainability of our lodge and minimize the impact of our safari operations on the beautiful environment in which we operate.  In the 2nd half of 2011 we already replaced most of our old cars by much less ‘thirsty’ new ones plus we acquired a new silenced and more fuel efficient generator.
